What do you need to be in a relationship with God?
To be a good person? Do good deeds until God accepts you? Rather, nothing of the sort. God has made clear in the Bible how we can get to know him and be in a relationship with him.

The first principle:
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life
The Bible says about God's love:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
On God’s plan for you, Christ said: “As for me, I came to have a life and to have a better life” (John 10:10), meaning a full and purposeful life.
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life
The Bible says about God's love:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
On God’s plan for you, Christ said: “As for me, I came to have a life and to have a better life” (John 10:10), meaning a full and purposeful life.
But why do most people not experience this best life? We will find the answer in the second principle

The second principle:
A person is sinful and separate from God, so he cannot know and experience God's love for his life
Man is a sinner. The Bible states: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23.
God created man to be in fellowship with him, but man chose to go his independent path away from God, and fellowship between them, this separation from God is what the Bible calls sin! Sin appears when a person rebels against God, does not care about his commandments, and does not live to the level of holiness that God wants for him.

What is the solution? We find it in the third principle

Jesus Christ is the only way for a person to reach God, and through him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life. For Christ:
Marvel at his birth
Christ has no human father. He was conceived in the bowels of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit of God, and this is why he was called the Son of God. “Then Mary said to the angel how this is, and I do not know a man?” Then the angel answered and said to her: “The Holy Spirit is lawful upon you, and the power of the Most High deceives you, so also is the Holy One who is born of you called the Son of God.” Luke 1: 34-35
Wonderful in his death
Just as God redeemed the son of Abraham with a great ram when he almost sacrificed it, so God redeemed the whole world with a great ram, Jesus Christ, who died in the place of each of us. That is, Christ, motivated by his love, bore the punishment for our sins and died in our place. “For this is how God loved the world until He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Wonderful in his resurrection
“Christ died for our sins, that he was buried and that he rose on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared in line with (Peter) then for the twelve, and after that he appeared at once to more than five hundred brothers.” 1 Corinthians 15: 3-6
“I also see himself alive with many proofs after suffering. He appears to them forty days and talks about matters pertaining to the Kingdom of God” Acts 1: 3
Christ is the only way:

Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ”John 14: 6. God has crossed the chasm that separates us from him by sending his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us.

Fourth principle:
We should accept Christ
“As for all who accepted him, he gave them authority to become God’s children, meaning believers in his name.” John 1:12
We accept Christ by faith
“For by grace you are saved by faith, and that none of you is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2: 8-9
We accept Christ when we invite Him to reign over our lives
Christ says: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if someone hears my voice and opens the door, I enter and dine with him while he is with me.” Revelation 3:20
It is not enough for you to be mentally convinced of the teachings of Christ, or to be emotionally affected by them, but you must also decide by your will to live them, and this means to convert from the self to God, and to trust that Christ enters your life, forgive your sins according to his promise, and let him change you to become the person who He wants you to be .. ready to obey.
